Destiny & Mark got engaged on July 2nd, amidst breathtaking views at the very top of New Jersey, in front of the High Point Monument.
Mark chose this location for the proposal because of the sentimental value it holds for both of them. Since she was a child, Destiny has been going camping at High Point State Park with her family every year. This is also the spot that Destiny told Mark she was pregnant!
Mark planned a day full of things their family enjoys – they have been taking their son Vincent to the nearby Space Farms Zoo every year and he loves it. After their morning at the zoo, he convinced Destiny to take a trip over to High Point State Park. As soon as they climbed to the top of the hill where the obelisk stands, he dropped down on one knee and asked Destiny to marry her, with Vinny looking on!
Destiny wasn’t expecting anything! She dropped her phone and clutched her stomach, and after a few “Are you serious??” and “Really??”s, she said yes!
Mark put the gorgeous ring (a princess cut solitaire with cushion halo and split shank band) on her finger and yet again she was blown away.
The final straw – when we revealed that Mark had hired me to photograph the proposal, she had to sit down and process all the surprises!
Congratulations, Mark, on pulling off a perfect surprise proposal, and congratulations to the two of you on your engagement! Thank you for giving me the honor of witnessing and capturing such an amazing milestone!
